The first edition of the free medical records application for physiotherapists took place in January this year. Today the application is used by several thousand individual practitioners in Poland. After less than 10 months of advanced work, on Monday, November 9th, a version for medical entities had its premiere.
This is a significant step forward in the reform of Polish rehabilitation. We are the only professional self-government body in Poland that provides a group of more than 68,000 members of the highest quality free of charge software for electronic medical records which meets all the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and the Council of Physiotherapists. Finezjo is the only tool that allows measure and reports the state of a patient’s functioning. And this, let’s remember, is the third health indicator, necessary for monitoring. Finezjo has a built-in intelligent ICF dictionary, a database of over 70 activity tests based on ICF, and in the next update also implemented the WHODAS 2.0 questionnaire.
The main advantage of Finezjo is that it is free of charge application. It was created and is developed from a part of the fees paid by physiotherapists. We are glad that despite the lowest fees from other medical professions, we can provide our professional group with a modern and highly functional tool.
The version for therapeutic entities offers many possibilities, from convenient and comprehensive facility management to synchronization with the National Health Fund. The users have at their disposal, among others, a clear calendar with many functions, which can be perfectly adapted to the needs of their subject, an intuitive graphic design facilitating personnel management, or dedicated study cards. The application is unique because it can be used by any employee of the entity, not only a physiotherapist! While designing the application we remembered how important for the good of the patient is the work of the whole team employed in the facility. So it was clear that the version for entities must be available for everyone. We adjusted the application to the needs of every employee of the entity! Finezjo, therefore, allows for comprehensive service of the therapeutic entity, and free of charge.
Of course, these are not all the advantages of the application! Finezjo is integrated with the ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICF catalogues. It allows for personalization of text notifications for patients, has a database of ready-made and lawyer-verified document templates, more than 70 ICF-based activity tests with video instructions, creation of their tests, recommendations and exercises, anatomical models for visualization of ailments, and many other features helpful in everyday work.

It is worth remembering that the Resolution of the Minister of Health of 15 April this year imposes on medical professions, including physiotherapists, the obligation to keep records in electronic form. The regulation also states that when describing the state of functioning, the documentation kept by a physiotherapist takes into account the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF). The recording of the functioning status is obligatory in the documentation.
